Douglas Malone specializes in figurative drawing and painting. His extensive background in classical drawing and anatomy enables him to craft the image of the human form with meticulous precision,, subtlety, and insight. He studied at the College of William and Mary, The Corcoran School of Art and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He taught anatomy and drawing at the Academy from 1998 to 2007 and now teaches at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan.

This eight year old blog relocated from Tumblr to WordPress in December of 2018. Raised in New Jersey, I studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now retired, I was a high-end fine art framer who did gallery and museum work. My interests and studies run a wide gamut which includes art, history, film history, philosophy, and oriental / indigenous cultures. My wish is that my posts pique the interest of viewers and encourage more exploration.
