Joseph Sheppard is a Maryland artist who currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland and in Florence, Italy. He taught at the Maryland Instiute College of Art for 15 years. His favorite subject is the human figure which he paints in a realistic style. One of his favorite painters and greatest source of inspiration is the Baroque Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens.
